Chinese Auction HAVE FUN ~ WIN ~ SUPPORT OUR CAUSE If you want to support our program, even if you only buy them yourself. If everyone who received this newsletter purchased $5-10 in tickets, we could help every family and fund all our programs for the year. THIS IS OUR ONLY FUNDRAISER. Please make a commitment to yourself to sell pre-sale tickets and mail them into Colleen Ornosky by May 11th (the sooner the better). Mail to: Colleen Ornosky, 1729 Bayard St, Bethlehem, PA 18017 On the homepage is a flyer you can post at work, etc., to advertise the Chinese Auction. More Chinese Auction Info Thank you to everyone who has already turned in their donations – great job! Sign up to help at the auction or before Can’t get out the house to help? Write up pre-sale tickets or tent cards right from your home Call Colleen, 610-867-0704 today to volunteer Where does the money go from our fundraiser?You may wonder where the money goes that we raise at our Chinese Auction each year. This money is used to purchase items that the NICU, PNU and Mother Baby Units have asked for. The money also pays for all of the parties and the picnic for the support group. The support group also gives gifts to the parents of the babies in the NICU and the mothers who are on bed rest in the PNU for the holidays. Last year we gave gifts for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Labor Day, Halloween, and Christmas. We also have a program where each baby who leaves the NICU is given a follow-up phone call and a NICU graduate bib is mailed to them. The money also has gone to pay for funerals when the parents are not able to. The Wall of Fame, Staff Appreciation and Volunteer Recognition luncheons are also other ways that the money is used. Then of course there are the administrative things such as postage for the newsletters, supplies for the Chinese Auction and other things as they arise during the year. So when you are out there getting donations or selling pre-sale tickets, think of all the good things that we do as a group with the money that we raise. Baby items available Boys clothes sizes newborn to 6-9 months, Platex nursers and unopened inserts, sippie cups, 2 “Snugli” carriers, 2 infant car seat covers (1 boy, 1 girl), coats, and more. March Thank you for the Donations Thank you to Tracey Fritz and Cheryl Endy for the donation of clothes and socks to the NICU. Thank you to anyone else who has dropped off clothing at the NICU that we do not know about personally. The NICU really appreciates all the donations that they receive. We got to keep those little babies warm!!
